"Unlocking the Code" is a two-day module developed specifically for marketers involved in the creation and review of materials and activities.

The module is delivered by Rina Newton (CompliMed Ltd) together with medical and agency guest speakers who bring additional expertise and further insight based on real-life examples.

 

Core competencies

After attending this module a delegate will understand how and where the ABPI Code applies to promotional and non-promotional items and gain insight into potential sticking points within the sign off process. In addition, unique checklists are provided on the course to help delegates achieve speedy and successful approval.

Specifically, the core competencies developed on the course are:
  • Understand the differences between promotion and non-promotion, certification and examination, and the key questions to establish routes of approval
  • Gain an insight into the scrutiny, concerns and accountabilities of medical signatories
  • Know how the Code applies to each key area of marketing, and the consequences of non-compliance
  • Be able to create materials/activities that are in line with the Code and Company SOPs
  • Adopt a comprehensive approach to the application of the Code.
  • Consolidate learning through discussion of case study materials.

 

Learning outcomes

After attendance of the "Unlocking the Code" module, delegates will understand how the Code applies to the key areas of marketing, how checklists can help achieve speedy and successful approval and the implications of getting it wrong.
